Horizon welcomes the return of CUPE employees and has started to resume health care services

(HORIZON) Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 - Horizon Health Network is thankful to all staff and physicians who worked to provide safe and quality care to all patients and clients during the CUPE strike. We understand our staff and physicians faced many challenges throughout the week, but always managed to put the care of our patients and clients first, and for this we are grateful.

We are also pleased to welcome the return of our CUPE staff to all Horizon health care facilities. We look forward to working together as we gradually resume health care services for patients and clients. CUPE members are a valuable and essential part of health care and the Horizon team.

Horizon will begin to resume patient and client's surgeries, procedures and appointments however it will take time to work through the waitlists.

Horizon's COVID-19 Assessment Centres are open and anyone with an appointment booked for today can present for their test. Horizon is working with Public Health to rebook appointments that were cancelled based on priority.

We ask for your patience as we work to resume regular services and rebook appointments.
