Dr. Krishna (Kris) Pulchan

Dr. Krishna (Kris) Pulchan is originally from the Caribbean. He followed a meandering academic journey that took him to the UK and eventually to Toronto. His base specialty is in emergency medicine with various sub-specialty fellowships in critical care. His scope of practice currently includes emergency medicine and critical care at Horizon's Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital and Saint John Regional Hospital. He became the clinical department head and medical director of the Department of Emergency Medicine for the Fredericton area in June 2020.

Dr. Pulchan is also a provincial Trauma Control Physician with the NB Trauma Program. He is passionate about teaching and learning from others.  This journey, he believes, has taught him the humility of ignorance and the value of continuous learning.

Dr. Pulchan enjoys playing soccer and keeping fit. His philosophy is one of compassion and service, always reflecting on the privilege it is to serve his community.
