Due to an unexpected power loss the Chipman Health Centre will be closed this afternoon, October 4th. The Centre will reopen Oct. 5th at the regular time provided power is restored.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Fredericton Inpatient Detox Unit located at 65 Brunswick Street in Fredericton will be closed from October 7, 2016 at 4:00 pm until October 11, 2016 at 7:00 am. Anyone requesting service should continue to access the admissions line by calling (506) 452-5525 and leave their name and contact information as directed. Calls will be returned as soon as possible.

Boil Water Order in Saint John: The Saint John Regional Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Saint John are impacted by the current boil water order, however there are no service-level changes at this time. If there are service-level changes and your procedure is cancelled, you will be notified. Bottled and sterile water is on hand for patient and staff use at both Saint John area hospitals.

Boil Water Order in Saint John: St. Joseph’s Hospital in Saint John is impacted by the current boil water order, however there are no service-level changes there at this time. The Saint John Regional Hospital has a water reserve cistern with approximately two days’ supply. There will be cancellations of certain procedures due to the need for water. Staff are notifying affected patients.

On February 8, 2016 a fire destroyed the building which housed the Sackville Mental Health Clinic, also known as the Daybreak Activity Centre, 95 Queens Road, Sackville. Addiction and Mental Health Clinicians are in the process of contacting their clients to make alternative arrangements. Any clients with concerns are encouraged to contact their Clinician directly or call 506-856-2444.

Horizon is working with Ambulance New Brunswick to return patients to Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph’s this morning. These patients were evacuated last week due to the threat of rising flood waters to Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. Horizon is working closely with Ambulance New Brunswick to make this transition as smooth as possible.

In light of the forecast of rain over the next couple of days, Horizon has decided not to transfer patients back to the Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph’s Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, April 23. We will reassess the situation on a daily basis.
