2014 Maritime Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference
Media Advisory -
Members of the media are encouraged to attend the 2014 Maritime Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference, hosted jointly by the NB Trauma Program and the Nova Scotia Trauma Program, from April 3-5 at the Ramada Crystal Palace Hotel and Convention Centre in Moncton.
The conference's goal is to share best practices and research in the fields of trauma care and emergency medicine. This year's event will see delegates take part in workshops and simulation training, hear interesting plenaries and share their research findings.
This year's event also includes sessions on managing high pressure, low frequency events in both trauma and emergency medicine, as well as workshops in trauma simulation and emergency ultrasound. A copy of the program is attached with a complete lineup of speakers and panelists.
On Thursday, April 3, between 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., you are welcome to interview conference co-chairs, Dr. Paul Atkinson, Research Subcommittee Chair, NB Trauma Program, and Emergency Physician at the Saint John Regional Hospital, as well as Dr. Rob Green, Provincial Medical Director of the NS Trauma Program and Critical Care and Emergency Medicine Physician at Halifax's QEII Health Sciences Centre.
Please contact Horizon Communications if you would like to arrange an interview.
