Virtual Tour of the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation Now Online
(FREDERICTON) April 29, 2014 - The Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation has launched a virtual tour of its facility. This new resource will help patients and their families familiarize themselves with the centre prior to a visit or inpatient admission.
The virtual tour provides information on the centre's inpatient rehabilitation unit, its adult and pediatric programs and its assistive technology services. The tour also showcases the centre's transitional living suites, the therapeutic park and Kiwanis House.
"Being admitted to or visiting an unfamiliar facility can be stressful," says Gillian Hoyt-Hallett, Administrative Director for the Centre. "We hope that the virtual tour will help put our patients and families minds at ease as they are now able to view and learn about the facility online in advance."
"Providing resources to aid in our patients' comfort and well-being is a priority for Horizon," says Gary Foley, Vice President Professional Services for Horizon Health Network. "Giving people the option to view the facility before they arrive gives them a better idea of the excellent care they can expect."
A part of the Horizon Health Network, the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation is a provincial program recognized in North America as a leader in neurological rehabilitation, providing bilingual care through inpatient, outpatient and outreach services. Patients of all ages from New Brunswick and PEI, as well as complex pediatric patients from Nova Scotia benefit from the centre's services. Focused on patient and family-centred care, Horizon Health Network operates 12 hospitals and more than 100 medical facilities, clinics and offices throughout New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and northern Nova Scotia, providing medical services ranging from acute care to community-based health services.
