Refurbishments to main entrance at DECRH – Patients/visitors advised to allow extra time
(FREDERICTON) April 15, 2014 - Public Service Announcement - Due to ongoing refurbishments at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital (DECRH), Horizon advises allowing extra time when dropping off patients and visitors at the hospital's main entrance.
During the installation of a new entrance door system, the exterior drive-through / drop off area will be reduced to one lane and the main entrance doors of the hospital will be closed off. A temporary entrance will be located to the left of the main entrance.
Visitors are asked to follow the directional signage along the front of the hospital to guide them to the temporary main entrance. Security Services personnel will also be on hand to assist with directions.
For scheduled appointments, patients should arrive a few minutes early to avoid any potential delays.
The refurbishment project is expected to be completed by early May, and once complete, will provide more space for visitors in the lobby area, improve traffic flow and reduce cold air draft.
