The community of Perth-Andover suffered a devastating flood

(PERTH-ANDOVER) March 28, 2012 - On Friday March 23 the community of Perth-Andover suffered a devastating flood.  To ensure the safety of our patients, we have been forced to temporarily close Hotel-Dieu Saint Joseph Hospitaland temporarily suspend all local services.

Horizon would like to acknowledge and thank the quick action of staff and physicians, Ambulance New Brunswick and all community partners that were involved in the transfer and relocation of patients.

The support shown was outstanding and allowed 21 patients to be evacuated in a safe, efficient and timely manner to the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, Grand Falls General Hospital, Tobique Valley Community Health Centre, Victoria Glen Manor, or discharged under Extra Mural care at home.

We understand how devastating this flood has been to our community.  Horizon will continue to offer ongoing support and will keep everyone updated as we restore services.
