Horizon to Survey Patients about their Hospital Experiences

(HORIZON) January 22, 2018 - Beginning January 22, 2018 through March 2, 2018, Horizon Health Network (Horizon) will ask inpatients for feedback on their hospital stay. The confidential survey is shorter, however, similar to that of the New Brunswick Health Council Acute Care Survey. The data collected will be used to evaluate the overall delivery of care patients received during their stay.

 

"Horizon is committed to providing the best possible health care to our patients and this survey will help us achieve that goal," said Margaret Melanson, Horizon's Vice President of Quality and Patient Centred Care. "The results will ensure our care and service aligns with the needs, desires, beliefs and cultural sensitivities held by our patients and their family members." 

 

Patients who stayed for a minimum of one night in a Horizon facility or the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation will be asked to fill out the survey. Patients will have the option to complete the survey prior to discharge or complete it at home and return the survey in a pre-paid envelope no later than March 16, 2018.

 

The Horizon Hospital Experiences Survey is administered annually and serves an interim measurement tool in conjunction with the New Brunswick Health Acute Council Survey which is administered every three years.
