Annual 'REACH' Conference Kicks Off with Live Theatre

(Horizon) May 11, 2015 - The annual "REACH" conference kicks off on Tuesday, May 26th at 6:45 p.m. at the Delta Beauséjour in Moncton with an exciting evening of live theatre that is open to the public.

Health journalist and patient safety advocate Suzanne C. Gordon will present "Bedside Manners", an interactive play that focuses on communication, patient safety and teamwork within all areas of health care, starring local health-care providers. The cost is $15/person and includes a reception featuring food and beverages from local producers. Everyone is welcome.

Horizon Health Network staff will be onsite with information about Horizon's commitment to patient and family centred care and becoming a Patient Experience Advisor. Our Patient Experience Advisors are volunteers who are helping Horizon ensure the patient experience is the best it can be.

The REACH conference is an event designed to support professionals by equipping them with current knowledge, skills and resources in order to achieve better health outcomes for citizens and the health care system. "Bedside Manners" and Patient Experience Advisors embody this year's theme of "Patients as Partners-Supporting Patients with Chronic Conditions through Effective Collaboration." The public is welcome to register for the conference.
