Fredericton psychologists offer free public information session
(Fredericton) February 20, 2017 - Fredericton psychologists from Horizon Health Network are offering a series of education and outreach activities to raise awareness of the benefits of their work as part of Psychology Month. This year's theme focuses on Healthy Aging.
On Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 7 p.m., licensed psychologist Dr. Rebecca Mills and Kayla Truswell, psychology intern, will lead a free public information session on reducing and preventing stress and burnout for professional and personal caregivers. The session will be held at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Chalmers Hospital Auxiliary Theatre (CHAT). Parking is free in front of the theatre.
The group is also offering education seminars and sending out information-based emails to staff across Horizon to acknowledge the month.
The first annual Psychology Month in Canada was launched in February 2005 and it continues to serve as an opportunity for members of the psychology profession in each province to connect with their communities.
