2012 New Brunswick Heart Centre Symposium
(SAINT JOHN) September 17, 2012 - Physicians and staff at the New Brunswick Heart Centre strive to be leaders in heart health and wellness. They are the driving force behind improved education, research and exceptional patient care. At no time does their passion and devotion to being leaders in cardiovascular health become more apparent than when they host their nationally-recognized annual symposium on cardiovascular medicine.
Now in its 22nd year, the highly acclaimed New Brunswick Heart Centre Symposium is a forum for health-care professionals including cardiologists, internists, cardiac surgeons and other health-care personnel from across the country to discuss cardiovascular health, wellness and rehabilitation. Through lectures, educational sessions and interactive workshops, participants are provided with a comprehensive review of the field of cardiovascular medicine.
"This year's program has been expanded to give the participants exposure in key areas of cardiovascular medicine, as well as focused sessions on selected areas of current interest," says Dr. David Bewick, director of cardiovascular health, wellness and heart function clinic for the New Brunswick Heart Centre and chairman of the symposium.
