Speech Language Pathology

Pre-school Children

Single service speech therapy is available in the Fredericton Area at Woodbridge Centre to preschool-age children. 

Referrals can be made by physicians, other health care professionals, or parents/caregivers by calling the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at 452-5931or by submit a referral form by fax (452-5814) or mail (Dept. Audiology and Speech Pathology, Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, PO Box 9000, Fredericton, NB  E3B 5N5).

Preschool-age children referred in the Fredericton area will first be scheduled for a screening clinic to determine if further testing and treatment is recommended and the best service to provide this. The screening clinics are run jointly with our speech-language pathology partners, the New Brunswick Talk With Me program.

Please note: speech pathology services for school-age children are provided in the schools through the Dept. of Education.

Adults

Single service speech therapy is also available in the Fredericton Area at Woodbridge Centre to adolescents and adults with Fluency (stuttering) and Voice disorders.

To cancel or change an appointment for single service speech-language pathology, please contact the Woodbridge Centre Children's Rehab Team reception at 452-5611.
