The Moncton Hospital, a facility within Horizon Health Network, is currently recruiting a second full-time physiatrist.

The Moncton Hospital is a regional referral center and teaching hospital; we are a recognized trauma center with a newly renovated state of the art Medical/Surgical ICU. We have a 14-bed Rehabilitation Unit, a 6-bed Neurosurgical ICU and 12-bed Neurosurgical Unit. Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation patients are primarily stroke, TBI and neuromuscular patients, with musculoskeletal outpatients as well. Successful applicants will be expected to share inpatient duties (inpatient consults and rehab floor work) equally with existing physiatrist, but the opportunity exists for tailoring outpatient clinics to create a degree of sub-specialization cooperatively between the two physiatrists.

The Department of Neurosciences Division of Physiatry requires that its members have completed a fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Standard remuneration is fee-for-service which is a direct compensation between the physician and Medicare of New Brunswick.  No source deductions can be provided.  However, under special circumstances, with approval from the Department of Health of New Brunswick, a salaried model may be available.  This may range between a minimum of $221,078 to a maximum of $268,788 annually (excluding benefits and source deductions) based on qualifications and experience.  On call remuneration is fee for service.  These rates are based on New Brunswick's Medicare Medical Pay Plan and are subject to changes based on policy updates.
