The Moncton Hospital (Horizon Health Network) is looking for locums to cover various practices in the Department of Family Medicine.  Family Physicians provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care including some after hours call responsibilities.  Excellent specialty backup arrangements are available. 

The Moncton Hospital is part of a large network of hospitals, health centers, services and programs under the direction of Horizon Health Network which provides health services to the southern, central and eastern regions of New Brunswick.  The Moncton Hospital is a 380 bed tertiary and critical care facility.  The hospital functions as a tertiary referral center for Eastern New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.  Services include Infectious Diseases, Trauma, Neurosurgery, Burns, Oncology, Neonatal Care, Provincial Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Vascular Surgery, plus extensive services in elevated secondary and primary care.  The Moncton Hospital offers excellent opportunities for teaching, clinical research and academic affiliation with Dalhousie University.

Members of the Department of Family Medicine must have one or more of the following qualifications:  CCFP, ABFM (American Board of Family Medicine), Le Collège des médecins du Québec (Médecine familiale).


Remuneration is based on the physician being replaced and requires approval from New Brunswick's Medicare.  Fee-for-service is a direct compensation between the physician and Medicare of New Brunswick.  No source deductions can be provided.  Salaried locums receive 10% in lieu of benefits.
