Academic Requirements

Students entering the Saint John School of Radiological Technology must satisfy the first year science requisite at UNB Saint John. Students who have already completed year one of a science degree at another university may forward their transcript and application to UNB for consideration.

Students currently enrolled in the BHS program or first year of general sciences at UNB must contact the Nursing and Health Sciences Coordinator to apply to the BHS radiography stream (Email: scott.thomas@unb.ca, Ph.: 506-648-5646)

Students applying for the first time to UNB Saint John as first year students in the UNB Health Sciences program must have met the following high school pre-requisites with a minimum average of 75%:

  • Grade 12 English
  • Grade 12 Maths
  • Grade 12 Chemistry
  • Grade 12 Physics
  • Academic electives

The radiography didactic program and clinical experience is delivered is the English language.  Applicants who have completed their basic schooling in a language other than English are required to demonstrate competency in English.  A minimum score of 600 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or equivalent will be required for international students.  Students for whom English is not their first language must also successfully demonstrate English comprehension through an interview prior to admission.
