There are education placement opportunities within Horizon Health Network facilities, community programs and services. The opportunities available depend on the type of placement requested.
Learners are accepted into these placements for the purpose of:
- gaining experience for admission to a program of study
- gaining clinical, work, research or shadowing experiences in their chosen field of study
Opportunities are provided to learners enrolled in:
- health care
- trades and technology
- administrative programs
The Horizon Education Placement Program (EPP) is the single-entry-point through which all education placement opportunities are requested. Prior to placement, a minimum of 3 months is required to effectively:
- coordinate all placements
- ensure the completion of conditions to placement
Although a placement offer is not guaranteed, it is recommended to begin processing the conditions to placement checklist as soon as possible.
