Jeanne Evelyn Breau
Jeanne Evelyn Breau of Miramichi worked with Public Health Services as the Sexual Health Program and Clinical Coordinator for 26 years, and is an active member of the community. Jeanne started her career as a registered nursing assistant, and worked as a general duty nurse and a staff nurse before joining Public Health Services. She also developed a manual on sexual health care for incarcerated women, instructed in the Extra Mural/Red Cross Home Support Worker Program and taught post-RN degree clinical courses at the University of New Brunswick. Upon retiring from Public Health in 2012, Jeanne has continued to give her time by contributing to community committees. She studied at the New Brunswick Institute of Technology, to become a registered nursing assistant, and later trained at the Bathurst School of Nursing, becoming a registered nurse. She earned a Bachelor of Nursing and a Master of Education at UNB.
